the new children's museum

Multi-media installation using a dumpster as a playground and landfill as backdrop, with videos integrated into the structure.

2929 A Double Take

A series of Left Behind sculptures made on location in the abandoned store and displayed as a speak easy sculpture exhibition in the back room. Sculptures were swapped into and installed in the window of 2929 24th Street in San Francisco.

SFMOMA Sculpture Interventions

Sollars invited by artist and SFMOMA blogger Brion Nuda Rosch to use SFMOMA as a site for art-making. As a parameter the artist used only materials on hand in the museum itself, from paper products, posters, debris left behind, to the shirt off his back. At no point was his project made official to the staff of the museum, similar to working in his neighborhood, Sollars came and went and made pieces while integrating himself as an everyday museum guest. green bucket

A deleted scene from my film C RED BLUE J of my Father, sister, and myself in my Father's basement in 2005 finding the same green bucket that is under our 1976 xmas tree super 8 footage. This video loop is projected directly on the original green bucket.

Brautigan

Sculpture & Video Installation Featuring 7 sculptures for 7 books by SF Bay Area writer Richard Brautigan. Videos feature both read passages, images of the women on each book cover, archival footage, and footage gathered at San Francsico sites referenced in each book.
