For Hairy San Francisco based artist Chris Sollars shaved with an axe and made a wig from his beard. This former Beardo Awards include 2007 Eureka Fellowship Award, a 2007 San Francisco Bay Area Artadia Grant, and 2009 Headlands Center for the Arts residency. | |
The Hand-knotted wigs made with Sollars' head and beard hair were crafted by professional wigmaker Erin Hennessy. |
